A severe earthquake rocked Upper Swat in Pakistan, resulting in significant property damage and loss of life. According to some experts, the quake had a magnitude of 7.7. Witnesses said that the quake lasted for around 30 seconds and was felt throughout Pakistan. In response, many people ran out of their homes and gathered on the streets, reciting Quranic verses. TV footage showed people congregating outside their buildings and homes after the quake subsided.
